Constructıvıst-Based learnıng on students Psycho-productıve Skılls performance ın secondary school Agrıcultural Scıence

Constructivist-based approaches to teaching typically make extensive use of problem-based learning (PBL) and learning-by-doing (LBD) which were used investigate their effects on psycho-productive skills in Agricultural science secondary school. The research design adopted was a pre-test, post-test, non-randomised control group quasi-experimental. sample comprised eighty-four students from three schools (intact classes) with thirty-one, twenty-three thirty experimental 1, 2 groups respectively. Psycho-productive Skills Performance Test (PSPT) Rating Scale (PSPRS) the two instruments developed by researchers administered as pre post tests. PSPT subjected content validity item analysis, its reliability test through spilt-half method gave co-efficient value 0.74 for PSPRS, using Cohen’s Kappa statistic when inter-rater it 0.84. data collected analysed frequency counts, percentages, mean, standard deviation, t-test ANOVA. results reveal significant effect instructional strategy performance Science. Furthermore, shows no parents’ education level students’ Arising findings, recommended among others that PBL LBD strategies should be incorporated teacher programmes part training.
